Raven O is the Master of Ceremonies and star of he edgy show at The Box in New York City, one of the hottest night spots in the world. The Lower East Side venue is the perfect match for Raven O's talent as he makes people forget the real world and takes them on a wild ride filled with music, laughter and sexiness. In his early days he studied everything from classical ballet to traditional Hula, using his talents to get gigs in musical theatre, dance concerts, and even as a stripper in a women's only club. Raven hit New York City at 18 and quickly became a fixture in the punk and post-punk scenes. He toured as a singer with Sylvain Sylvain of The New York Dolls. He was first a go-go boy at the notorious Limelight and a Cat Club dancer. Before landing his gig at The Box, Raven spent three years in Las Vegas as one of the stars of the Cirque de Soleil show "Zumanity". Raven's vocal talents range from crooning a jazz classic to blasting a rock & roll hit and then knocking you over with a Broadway show tune. Boy George once said, "Raven has the voice of an angel". Please note: this was before George starting sweeping streets for the NYC sanitation department. |
